You have to assume that Sosa was already taking care of family and other people with his advance before the hood expected him to throw everyone big money like it's nothing. If a deal is worth $6m, you don't magically get that in cash off the bat lol. That's not how that works. I'm sure Sosa got a nice chunk of it but even that's a loan to be repaid by moving units, and his specific deal stipulated he has to move so many copies of Finally Rich within a year or else they'd drop him which is what happened.
Durk and Reese didn't even sign to Sosa's imprint through his Interscope deal even when he put everyone on in the first place. Where was the loyalty there? They each took $150k each to sign their own Def Jam deals instead but nobody mentions that. I'm sure Sosa felt a way that if they didn't want to jump on a deal together that they can throw bail money to everyone themselves.
You can't find success and expect to take care of everyone on the block because it never ends well. No matter how many people you put on and help, there will always be others who expect something themselves and breed resentment especially within that environment dealing with sets and street guys. That's why dudes robbed Sosa's house and I'm pretty sure they didn't bail out their guy with what they stole anyway.
Smartest thing Sosa could do was leave that environment forever to come to LA with his cousins and day ones since the goal is to get OUT of the hood - not hang out and expecting positive things to happen to you if you find fame and success.
